Unexpected Adventures

Hello all! I actually meant to do this Friday or Saturday, but I'm so glad I didn't because now I have an especially good story to tell you all. So this weekend I actually didn't have any trips planned, but instead I got a special surprise adventure. I'll get to that, later, though. First off, I want to tell you about my adventures last Sunday! I mentioned that my travel buddies and I had plans, and we did in fact, though our group expanded from our typical 4-6 to 9. We got together in the morning and traipsed over to the University train station and hopped on until it stopped in Castle Rock. Castle Rock isn't actually that far from Coleraine, though a bit too far to just stroll there. Our goal was a lovely 1700s castle atop a hill and the widely known Mussenden temple just a short distance down the path. It was a really beautiful, sunny day in the early afternoon, though the ground we ended up having to trudge through when we got to our destination was ridiculo

Peanut Butter Kit Kats

Hello all! It's been over a week since I've written, so I apologize for that first of all. It feels like so much longer than that for some reason, though! Hmm. No matter. Since then, I have had a few more delightful adventures, as well as a new favorite book. It blows my mind that I've been here for almost a month. It gives me mixed feelings- extremely mixed- because I'm so glad for what I've already seen and done, but it makes me sad that so much time has already passed since my pre-flight jitters. There is a small part of me that is relieved, knowing that now there's only a little over three months until I see my family and friends at home face to face again; if any of you are reading this, I miss you immensely every day and I wish more than anything you could see these marvelous and beautiful things with me. But then, there's still so much I still want to do and I'm suddenly finding myself a quarter of the way through my semester and a list of things

Fish Fingers and Custard

Hello all! So, it's been about another week in the beautiful country of Northern Ireland. I've done some more adventuring, had a dash more school, and an unfortunate addition of being icky-coughy-stuffy sick. The sick part sucks, like a lot, but at least I had most of yesterday to just chill in my room, drink tea, and sleep. It was super lazy, but I think it did me good. During the day I also got to talk to my mommy, and that always makes me feel better. <3 Now, some of you might be wondering what the heck the title is about, and some of you might have an inkling, because it's a dish well known in a certain sci-fi fandom, and then others of you DO know because I already told you. Whatever. If you remember last week I said I made some exciting purchases? Well, some Doctor Who favorites such as Jammie Dodgers and fish fingers and custard were among them. And, like the true whovian that I am, I absolutely had to try them. Fish fingers and custard everyone. I think I
